THE ROAD TO JERUSALEM PRAYER LETTER

The Lion of the Tribe of Judah is roaring... 'March Forth'!

Greetings friends and family of God's household,

Today is March 4th. It is also a month with a Holy command! Joel 2:8 says, "they each march in line nor do they deviate from their paths, they do not crowd each other; they march everyone in his path..." In other words, they have found their resting place in God and have been adequately trained by the Lord to discern his or her position under His sovereign command.

What an awesome day to be alive! I woke up singing the old hymn by Henry Thomas Smart entitled "Lead on O King Eternal". Here is a portion of this great hymn of pilgrimage in the Christian tradition. It reads – "Lead on O King eternal, the day of march has come. Henceforth in fields of conquest thy tents shall be our home. Through days of preparation they grace has made us strong; and now O King eternal, we lift our battle song. 3rd verse – Lead on O King eternal, we follow not with fears, for gladness breaks like morning wher-e'er thy face appears. Thy cross is lifted o'er us, we journey in its light, the crown awaits the conquest; lead on O God of might."

How does the crown await the conquest? Jesus said, "It is finished". We are now walking out the victory that has been secured for us at Calvary so that our obedience to this reality might be made complete. “It is finished.” Now let us March Forth as one body in Messiah/Jesus Christ declaring the Son's last prayer in John 17...that they be One even as I and the Father are one.

We are in the hour of New Beginnings! The prophets are speaking this from the four corners of the earth and indeed we felt it appropriate to write you on this 8th day of 2008. In the scriptures the number 8 has always been associated with that which is new and something, which we have never entered into previously. New doors and gates are opening before those who are seeking Him with all their hearts!

God created the numerical system as another language and expression to communicate who He is. Our English language uses the term march to indicate advancement, walking in formation, proceeding somewhere as in a body of troops moving forward in disciplined style. Such is our Great Lion who leads this army that is Marching Forth (4th) in the strength of God. Joel 2:11 states, "And the Lord utters His voice before His army; surely His camp is very great, for strong is he who carries out His word.""

We are now in the month of Adar, which is also equated, with the tribe of Naphtali. I have been observing this month and this tribe for some years in my Bible study time. I’d like to propose something for your consideration and research. The Word of God is a treasure book full of "connect the dots" mysteries that are just waiting for our hunger to propel us deeper into the journey.

The proposal is this. If we place together the blessings bestowed on Naphtali by Jacob, later named Israel, which is located in Genesis 49:21 and join the blessing given by Moses in Deuteronomy 33:23, then we may capture something within the intent of God’s heart for this tribe and for this season. Naphtali would inherit the seas and the south. He was like a deer set free that would give forth beautiful words. Could it be that the poetic spirit that moves among God’s people is associated with this particular tribe? What of the seas and the south? The Lord states in Jeremiah 16:16 that He would send out fisherman to bring in God’s chosen people Israel. The seas are about to cough up some of the greatest evangelists, preachers and deliverers the world has ever known. We are still being wooed by Jesus to come and sit by the sea and eat fish with Him and be His friends. There is no greater call than this one...to be His friend!

We thank you Our Lion of Judah for bringing in the new sounds and fresh winds of joy that will catapult us into the advancement you have for each one of us in this hour. We bless you Almighty and Ever-Living One. Make us one even as you and your Son were one. Blow upon us Holy Spirit and send forth your winds and blow softly upon the garden of our hearts. Psalm 104:4 and Song of Songs 4:16.

Zechariah 9:14 "Then the Lord will appear over them and His arrow will go forth like lightning, And the Lord God will blow the trumpet, And will march in the storm winds of the south."

Isaiah 63:1 "Who is this...who is majestic in His apparel, marching in the greatness of His strength? It is I who speaks in righteousness and mighty to save."

In His Service,
